Proposition 3 — Permanent Tax on High Incomes
Makes the existing temporary income tax increase on high-income earners permanent instead of allowing it to expire in 2031. The Legislative Analyst estimates it would maintain $5 billion to $15 billion in annual revenue.
A yes vote means
The higher income tax rates in place since 2012 for high-income earners would become permanent.
A no vote means
The higher income tax rates would expire in 2031 as currently scheduled.
